2015 Navratri celebrations were a huge success for Bollywood Echoes band. We were playing at two major venues in the west midlands. The LNM Hindu community Centre Warwick Rd Birmingham and Arya Samaj in Nechells. We have been working hard to attract devotees of all ages, from senior citizens to adults teenagers and children.
The tran tali was mainly enjoyed by more senior devotees because it is slow in pace whereas the be- tali and dandiya raas was enjoyed by a mix of all ages. The teenagers and younger devotees were asking for Ranjaniyu and Sanaido which we had great pleasure in performing. The atmosphere at both venues was electric created by a the amazing decor,Live Asian Gujarati upbeat spiritual music and buzz of people of all ages dressed in bright colourful clothes.
Having a professional Asian Band attracted several thousand people who enjoyed the celebrations over the nine days. The weekend and Aatham were especially amazing and fun. Hindu community centre had about 600 people on saturday and was busy on all other days. This was the same at Arya Samaj venue.
We are grateful for the committees at both organisations for giving us the opportunity to engage all the devotees in the spiritual practice over navratri as well as enjoy the social aspect of the celebrations. We look forward to navratri 2016.Share:
